Eden Renewables is very pleased to award our first STEM scholarship to Mariella Hirschoff, a senior graduating from Maple Hill Jr./Sr. High School, Schodack. Mariella is joining the University at Buffalo this fall to study Architecture with a minor in Environmental Design.

Mariella said, “I am very honored to receive this scholarship. It will be put towards some of my college expenses and I am very grateful. Thank you to everyone at Eden for your generosity!"

She was presented with her award by Eden’s Chief Development Officer, Giovanni Maruca, at the Maple Hills High School Senior Awards Night, June 12th.

Giovanni said, “We’re delighted to be able to present the first of our STEM scholarships as part of our education program which encourages Green STEM education in the community. We all wish Mariella the best of luck in pursuing her educational goals.”

The Scholarship program aims to support the collegiate academics of a current high school senior who plans on pursuing a career in Green STEM, jobs that benefit the environment, or conserve natural resources. Recipients are chosen on the basis of academic record, leadership and participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, and a statement of goals and aspirations. Learn more.
